From main coast road between Harlech and Barmouth take road (gated) to Cwm Bychan (8 miles approx)from Llanbedr. Car park at road end (fee payable to farmer). Walk back along road for numerous entry points to water. On left just before last gate on way up to Cwm Bychan are some waterfalls with deep plunge pools. Great for sunny day but take your midge repellent.

The quickest access is to follow the track up the screes to the left of the falls - (looking at the falls). The track, after the screes breaks out into open country. The stream feeding the falls has some excellent pools and waterfalls up the valley - probably about 45 minutes walk after Aber falls.  Very quiet, and an excellent way to freshen up after walking the Carneddu.
